Product Designer

• Location: Hybrid - Preference for candidates based in Bangalore

• Job Type: Project basis with the potential for full-time roles 

Job Responsibilities:

As a product designer, you’ll be part of a small team embracing a big challenge: re-shape how people communicate with one another. You’ll define every aspect of how users interact with Port by distilling user goals, product flows, and design concepts. You will articulate your elegant design solutions through wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, and functional prototypes. As the product evolves to include business users, you’ll also have the opportunity to shape new ways for users and businesses to communicate, too. And you won’t be alone in doing so – you’ll have a cross-functional team of fellow designers, front-end engineers, and back-end engineers to collaborate with along the journey.

Other opportunities include:

• Owning multiple features end-to-end to improve user growth

• Using data to inform design decisions to improve user experience

• Preparing documentation to enhance accountability in the organisation

• Maintaining design system to improve scalability and consistency

• Owning the product design cycle, right from ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and iteration, to user validation and feedback incorporation.

• Engaging with our users to understand their pain points, needs, and aspirations to ensure the delivery of well-crafted solutions

  
  

  About you:

• You have a passion for intuitive and elegant design, and you understand the power of intelligent product choices in enhancing user growth and satisfaction. In addition to being a brilliant product designer, you’ll also have a combination of the following:

• 2+ years of design experience at a product company 

• Ability to thrive in small, mission-oriented teams where your voice and ideas can be heard without impediment

• Fluency in Figma and other prototyping tools

• A passion for building consumer products and the ambition to get them in the hands of million

• A desire to work alongside other super smart people across the globe, and the ability to take and give feedback constructively.
