Backend Engineer

• Location: Hybrid - Preference for candidates based in Bangalore

• Job Type: Project basis with the potential for full-time roles 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop REST APIs in Python with FastAPI

• Design and implement efficient and scalable services

• Manage deployments to existing cloud infrastructure

• Build systems to monitor and alert on abnormalities in system performance

• Manage database utilization

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Linux command line

• Strong proficiency with Git as a version control system

• Experience building REST APIs

• Working knowledge of SQL

• Familiarity with concepts related to concurrency some scale

• Working knowledge of containerization through Docker and orchestration through Kubernetes

• Strong problem solving skills

• Strong communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure in production

• Experience with Kubernetes deployments and autoscaling

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL/MySQL

• Familiarity with Redis/memcached

• Familiarity with messages brokers or other inter-process communication tools and patterns
